Overview

Portside Pizza, nestled conveniently at 380 State Park Marina Road in Branson, Missouri, stands out as a true lakeside culinary gem. This pizza restaurant captures the spirit of its location, serving up thin-crust pizzas that are both satisfying and thoughtfully crafted. The setting itself enhances the dining experience—right by the marina, near boat docks, and gift shops, it beckons boating enthusiasts, families, and visitors soaking in the beauty of Table Rock Lake.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the pizza. Whether you crave classic pepperoni and sausage or specialty pies like the Chicken Bacon Ranch, each is baked to a crisp perfection, with a golden cheese blanket and fresh, balanced toppings. The crust manages to be both thin and satisfyingly firm—ideal for those who appreciate a well-executed pizza base without excess dough. For fans of bold flavors, the smoky bacon and spicy sausage options deliver a memorable bite every time.

Portside Pizza also offers a modest but fresh selection beyond pizza, including hearty sandwiches like the Italiano with its savory Italian meats and the Chicken Caesar Sub with crisp greens and parmesan. These choices provide variety for visitors who want something other than pizza without compromising on quality. Seasonal fruit cups and a lineup of refreshing beverages—from classic soft drinks to frozen lemonades—round out the menu, perfect for quenching thirst after a day on the water.

What truly elevates Portside Pizza is the warmth of its atmosphere and the genuine hospitality experienced by customers. Stories like that of Carmen Rys, who found solace in a comforting meal after an unexpected jet-ski mishap, speak to the restaurant’s role as more than just a food stop. Owner James Cox and his team embody a welcoming spirit, offering not only well-crafted dishes but a haven where strangers become like friends. This connection resonates deeply, especially for those spending time in the marina’s vibrant, yet relaxed environment.

The location itself is an asset—the ease of tying off your boat right nearby and grabbing a fresh, crispy pizza makes it a no-brainer for lakegoers and tourists alike. Plenty of parking and proximity to boating rentals and local attractions ensure it meets the needs of diverse visitors, from families to solo adventurers. While some mention the prices lean toward the higher side, the quality, service, and setting justify the experience.

In essence, Portside Pizza is a perfect blend of great food, inviting space, and a thoughtful touch of community spirit. It offers more than just a meal: it provides a rest stop for the hungry and weary at the marina’s edge, a refreshing pit stop for families and boaters, and a taste of Branson’s lakeside charm. **Port Side Pizza: A Slice of Rescue** It was supposed to be a perfect summer day on Table Rock Lake—sunny skies, calm waters, and the thrill of jet skiing. But my joy quickly turned to panic when my jet ski sputtered and died in the middle of the lake. With no signal and no help in sight, I had no choice but to swim to shore. Exhausted and drenched, I stumbled into State Park Marina and collapsed onto a picnic table at Port Side Pizza. James Cox, the owner, noticed my disheveled state and approached without hesitation. After hearing my story, he nodded knowingly and returned to the kitchen. Moments later, he emerged with a steaming hot Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza—his specialty. The crust was perfectly crisp, the cheese melted into a golden blanket, and the toppings—smoky bacon, tender chicken, and a creamy ranch drizzle—were a revelation. Each bite was a comforting embrace, a stark contrast to the chaos of my day. As I devoured the pizza, James sat across from me, offering a cold soda and a sympathetic smile. He joked, “We feed the shipwrecked here.” In that moment, I realized that Port Side Pizza was more than just a restaurant—it was a haven for those in need of solace. The food was exceptional, but it was the kindness and understanding that truly made it unforgettable. By the time I finished the last slice, the sun had set, and the lake was calm again. Though my jet ski remained stranded, I felt a sense of peace. Thanks to this incredible pizza, I had found a moment of respite amidst the storm. Port Side Pizza had transformed a disastrous day into a cherished memory.

It is pricey but the pizza was delicious! We asked for extra crispy, and it was cooked to perfection. Ranch was $1/ea for probably not homemade, out of a plastic container ranch - don't recommend. But there's slips to tie off your boat, grab a real sugar root beer in the marina, and have yourself a delicious, crispy pizza at this spot when you forget to pack snacks on the lake.

Our favorite place to eat near table rock lake! We came to eat here two days in a row. Delicious thin crust pizza and frozen lemonade. Can’t wait to visit Branson again just to eat here again. We love banana peppers, so we added them extra.

Pizza was fantastic. Great favor. We ordered a cheese and a pepperoni and sausage. Sausage and pepperoni were thin sliced. The sausage was nice & spicy. The pizzas were thin crust. A nice place to order and eat at the marina. Near the gift shop & the dock where you pick up the boat & jet skis. Plenty of parking. Come see the turtles & fish you can feed with food you can purchase from the gift shop.

We stopped by Portside Pizza because of the high Google rating and we agree the pizza is excellent. The manager/owner (possibly) stopped by to ask us how the pizza was to our liking. We expressed how good the pizza was and that maybe Dave Portnoy social media pizza rating extrodinair- question; what rating might his review be. Maybe 8.#? We visited for lunch and this is a take out open air seating at the Marina.

We stopped at Portside Pizza during our last trip to Branson and will be back on our next trip! We had the bbq chicken and it was 10/10. We took ours to go, but there are plenty of tables if you wanted to eat there. The turtles and ducks kept us entertained while we waited for our pizza!
